Women’s health specialists bring OB/GYN services to the Newport area
KNOXVILLE, TN (August 28, 2019) – Tennova Healthcare recently welcomed William B. Harris, M.D., obstetrician and gynecologist, and Jeanette Toney, M.D., obstetrician and gynecologist, to their new medical practice at Tennova Women’s Care – Newport, located at 434 Fourth Street, Suite 305, Newport. Dr. Harris specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, pelvic reconstructive surgery and incontinence surgery as well as normal and high-risk obstetrics. He also offers annual well-woman exams and screenings. He performs women’s health surgeries and delivers babies exclusively at Newport Medical Center.
Prior to joining Tennova, Dr. Harris was in private practice in Martinsville, VA. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies; and completed an internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Staten Island, NY. Dr. Harris is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Toney is experienced in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and has a special interest in adolescent gynecology, well-woman visits, evaluation and management of menstrual issues, and obstetrics care from pre-pregnancy planning through delivery. Dr. Toney performs women’s health surgeries and delivers babies exclusively at Newport Medical Center.
She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth Dominica, West Indies; and completed a residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. Prior to joining Tennova, Dr. Toney was in private practice in Manalapan, NJ.
